Busy during the day? Our evening classes are a wonderful chance to really enjoy learning traditional upholstery techniques in a mixed class where all students work on different items of furniture. You’ll benefit from seeing a variety of works be completed alongside your own project.
Throughout the 10 weeks course you’ll spend 25 hours learning advanced upholstery techniques with our experienced tutors but also you will be putting them into practice on a project of your own to take home to love and enjoy.
Elements you’ll learn throughout this course:
- Frame preparation
- Rebuilding chair structure
- Traditional upholstery techniques
- Sustainable substitute upholstery materials
Beginners are advised to start with a small project in preparation to take on more ambitious projects, attending an additional term, once familiarised with the traditional tools and materials.
Please note: This course will run in line with the school terms and there will be 1 break.
